1. Hi! Welcome to my humble blog of all things bookish! I would like for us to start by getting to know you. Give us a short bio, please!

Hi, my name is Hannah-Louise Smith but I just go by Hannah. I love books, mainly fantasy, horror and a bit of romance. I have a Siberian husky named Logan and I love Chinese food.

2. To get to know you just a little bit better, I’d like to ask you some this or that questions. Answer 5 of these and explain why you chose this or that, or maybe an entirely different alternative!

Winter, spring, summer or autumn? Autumn. I love how the colours change and getting cozy in winter clothes

Cat or dog? Definitely a dog person because they are straight forward in what they want

Tea or coffee? Tea over coffee because I can’t stand the taste

Morning or evening? Mornings. Even though I have to get up at 4am for work Monday to Friday it means I get the rest of the day free to work out and write

Library or museums? Tough one. It would depend on the exhibits so I would go for museums

Hunter or gatherer? Neither, I’d be the one to go to the supermarket

Witches or wizards? Witches. Wizards seem to have a superiority complex

Ninjas or pirates? Ninjas, they are amazing

Mountains or beaches? Beaches, I’ve got a thing for heights

Plotter or pantser? Plotter. New ideas mean fun ideas

Pen and paper or computer/phone? Pen and paper. That’s how I write my books then I type up and edit 5 chapters at a time

Standalone or series? I love a good series

Book or ebook? Book, I like to see the progress that I’ve made and my book won’t die when I forget to charge it.

Hero or anti-hero? Anti-hero. They always have a reason for acting the way they do

3. When you look for books to read, what trope or type of story will always catch your attention?

One that is open about the plot without giving too much away. I love fantasy books that I can get lost in

4. What do you write? Tell us about your current projects and the latest happenings!

I’m currently working on my third book called Gameplay. It’s an epic fantasy based on the popular game of dungeons and dragons. I also have my second book Darkness (book 2 Mythics and mortals trilogy) being released in December 2022 which I’m really excited about.

5. What is your most recent release? Give us a short presentation, cover, and a link for where to buy it!

My most recent release is called Awakening (book 1 Mythics and mortals trilogy) and is a modern Greek mythological fantasy in which our heroine, Christina Jones finds her life turned upside down on her twenty- first birthday. She becomes part of this whole other world based on Ancient Greek mythological, known as the Mythics realm. She has powers so she has to learn to control those as well as evade the demon who is hunting her for the big bad known as The Master.

6. What real-life inspiration do you draw from, and what are your primary fictional sources of inspiration (books, authors, films, music, etc.)? Name a few!

I was inspired by a WEBTOON called Lore Olympus by Rachel smythe. I think it’s amazingly written and always leaves me wanting more. I put a little bit of myself into the main character Christina Jones, like how much she cares about people, her inner strength and general sass. Also I based the description of Cerberus entirely on my Siberian husky Logan.

7. What is your writing routine? If you have one, give us the run-down!

I try to write at least a sentence a day. I don’t really have a routine

8. If you could go back and give yourself one piece of advice as you started out on the path to becoming an author, what would it be?

You can do it. Don’t listen to the doubts in your head. You’ve got this.

9. Last but not least: where can we find you? Drop those links!
