Angels Descendants by J. C. Seal
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This second book of J. C. Seal’s Angels and Demons series is a semi-standalone, focusing on a different main character to that of the first book. You follow Jason (or Iason, as he is actually called) and how he goes from a seemingly normal life, to one of mystery, mythology, and gods, in but the blink of an eye. A car crash sends his world into a spin, and he soon has to fight not only against (and with) his own newfound powers, but also that of enemy forces – even the powers of Lucifer himself. And that’s pretty badass!
Angels Descendants is an excellent follow up to the first book of the series, and it even supersedes it with its fantastic story and additional lore packed within the pages. I absolutely adore all the different abilities and powers that the angels (and their descendants) hold. They are described in a most intriguing way and they all come to fit perfectly into the plot and the developing storyline.
Another solid 5 stars for this author. This is an awesome page-turning, fast-paced read. I will definitely be picking up the third book of the series!
